The University of Wales has a long and proud history, playing an important role in the development of higher education in Wales. Established by Royal Charter in 1893, it was regarded as one of the most important political and social developments in the nineteenth century. The University is one of the world’s top university and a major national institution in Wales and is well known for its Business Studies among other fields.
In order to be successful in today’s competitive global market place, it is essential for us to have the necessary professional skills and thorough knowledge of business administration. Our programme can be completed within three years of full-time study or four years of part-time study.
The programme provides a broad understanding of business skills, enhances students’ conceptual and theoretical knowledge of business and helps them to develop their ability to critically analyse, diagnose business related problems, make decisions and create long-terms plans while specialising in a major field.
Students will study general areas of business in the first 18 months, after which they may choose to major in Marketing, Human Resource Management, or Accounting and Finance. The broad education offered by this curriculum permits the student an exhaustive range of employment opportunities in business and industry.
Assessment of students is carried out using a combination of examinations and assignments. In order to be awarded the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (Hons), students are required to pass all modules and submit a dissertation.
The Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration enhances your conceptual and theoretical knowledge of business. Additionally, it helps to develop your ability to critically analyse, diagnose business related problems, make decisions and create long-terms plans.
This programme is designed to meet the needs of organisations seeking graduates who can think critically and understand the business world. Graduates will be able to conceptualise and implement effective development strategies for companies. As a Business Administration degree holder, you will be qualified for entry level positions in sales, marketing, human resources, finance and general administration.
